I would just like to say to Robert that this course has changed my life. For the better of course. Now I would like to say a few things to any prospective student out there that is considering starting Roberts course. Do it. Its that simple. Well it's not actually. Finding the right course can be the most difficult task to do. At least it was for me. Firstly let me talk about questions regarding selecting a course.1) Is the instructor experienced.2) Is the instructor available to ask any questions and do they respond quickly.3) Is the material covered up to date and thourough in its content. 4)Is it value for money.5) Does the qualification allow membership to any associations.6) Is there any guarantee.7) Is there any follow up after the course has been completed.Well folks, you can answer yes to those questions and more regarding Roberts course.This course is excellent. No sorry,FANTASTIC. I guarantee that as you progress through the lessons you will learn wonderful techniques to help transform those individuals that come to see you in your offices for change. You will also learn techniques to change your own life. Don't be put off by the low price. Robert is the most caring giving person that I have been associated with. Here is part of another email received: "Your course enabled me to help her manage pain after she was off the Morphine and could focus. She only used one pain pill after I was able to trance her. As a recent graduate myself, I thought I'd add a few comments myself for anyone who may be browsing the boards with a view to taking Robert's course. This course WILL change the way you think. In the way you relate to yourself and other people. You will find you understand why people behave the way they do. Understanding is the first step in change. I find myself unconsciously psychoanalysing people all the time now. I've grown so much since starting the course. Robert is as honest as he purports to be. I was the biggest skeptic going before I started and even posted as much on these boards. Robert answered all my queries promptly and even forwarded me emails from others who were as unsure as I had been.Robert has been friendly all through the course and I wish you all well in your studies. Not all my emails praise me or the course. Here is one from a disgruntled student who failed the first attempt at the exam and who only received a few of the 12 (twelve) emails I sent to her Hotmail account (she wouldn't/couldn't add me to her Friend's List to ensure she got my emails): "No offense, but I paid you for a course, and there has been nothing but problems with it--between having to get new passwords to access information which I paid for to having all these problems with the final exam and certificate to not receiving emails from you in a timely manner, I have been less than thrilled. Your system for doing business should definitely be examined and re-evaluated." I hope this posting helps to balance the rest of the postings in this topic as I would hate you to think I am 100% perfect (grin). |

Hi Robert and prospective students,I completed Roberts' course last year and have established a successful full time practice. I now gain, on average, 15 to 20 new clients per week, and have been receiving referrals from two medical centres, for issues ranging from smoking cessation to chronic medical conditions. Roberts' course has allowed me to continue my education and I am now doing post-graduate studies in Social Science.Even with doing further education, and in particular a diploma of Medical Hypnosis, I still find myself reverting back to my initial course from the Robert Shields College. Hi David, Thank you very much for your posting. I must admit that the student who I referred to in the previous posting did leave me feeling a little down as the criticism was so unfair. Especially as I had just had a guy who had bought my course and claimed to have not downloaded it. He was asking for fresh download instructions. When I challenged him with my log records showing he had downloaded, he admitted he had printed off the full course and had lost it when moving house. On checking him out, I found that two days after his purchase, he was advertising a 'similar' diploma course on eBay (he said it was not mine and I believe him(smile)) and he had a web site running Hypnotherapy Courses in direct competition to me. When I said I wouldn't give him a free replacement, he threatened legal action. I am not afraid of the litigation as he doesn't have a leg to stand on, but never-the-less, it left me feeling down and wondering if it was all worth the hassle. Your posting made me see it was and I'm back on track again. Oh, and here is an extract from an email received today, "You give easy to follow instructions and what I have implemented from your knowledge has worked beautifully in the lives of my clients." So, I must be doing something right (grin). |

Just to say i am just over half way through the course and i have already been able to help my wife with ther weight issues. The course is informative and well presented, thanks to Robert i already have 3 people interested in me helping them with weight loss and giving up smoking. This has not only allowed me to help others but to also learn so much about myself. |

I just passed the course Thursday night (06/07/07). I think the thing I appreciated most about your course was the psychological aspects. I'm one of those people who doesn't want to just learn something; I want to know how and why it works, because I believe if we know the how and why, we can apply what we learn easier and more efficiently. I feel that the psychological components will help me apply the hypnotherapeutic techniques even better. And you explained them so clearly and so well (especially Jungian) - they made much more sense than what I learned in all of the psychology courses I took in college! Thanks for making studying interesting, fun, and practical. |

Hi Robert, I passed your course some two and a half years ago (is it that long already!)and I just haven't had as much time as I would of liked to come onto the forum this year - that's your fault, or should I say the course's fault! Let me clairfy that statement, because your course was and is so good,and as much as I tried to not do as much hypnotherapy work and concentrate on other business projects, I find myself busier than ever. I mostly do work for the NHS now, even working in an NHS hospital 2 days a week all hypnotherapy related. Im looking forward tot he impact of the no smoking laws from 1st July to see what that brings. I'd like to say to students and those in practice if you got registered as an NHS provider,nows the time to do. Your course really does provide for a full time career, if you want it and quite simply is the best. As an 'old boy' of your college I really wanted to say Hi, all the bestto you and thanks for the opportunites your course has given me these last 2 years! |

Fortunately, I know an experienced hypnotherapist/nlp practiotioner and she has told me to stick with you. Hi Robert, I am interested in your course since I have studied hypnotherapy in the US but have not get certification, your course seems very complete, but I tryed to open the free lesson you offer and I get web page errors. I am not sure if paying for the course and then not being able to download it since I can´t download the free lesson. Are you correcting this problem soon? |
