Hi, I'm a certified hypnotist looking to furthere my education as a certified hypnotherapist, debating if I should continue with the original Institute but it's too expensive almost $2,000 I would like to receive my title as a Certified Hypnotherapist in an ethical way, would this college course actually prepare me for a career as clinical hypnotherapy? and why do other schools charge so much why this course is sooo reasonable is this course really reputible? Thanks

Hi Gina,I've been looking over the information regarding Richard's offer and you may gain some insight by reading the various designations of therapists at www.hypnosiscanada.com/about.asp (The Professional Board of Hynotherapy Inc.) I believe they'll list you as a Certified Hypnotherapist but not a 'Clinical' one. You would still require a degree through an accredited University. Am I understanding this correctly?

I will be very interested in replies to Judy's posting. I would also be very interested to hear from anyone who can point me towards an organisation that has official Government approval to issue a legal accreditation in Hypnotherapy, Clinical or otherwise. I will stand corrected in my belief that accreditation is given purely for and on behalf of private organisations. In the U.K., there are still hypnotherapy organisations who are conning future students by saying they are approved to give accreditation, and imply that they are Government approved. These organisations are pure and simple con merchants who are both lying and dishonest as there is no such thing as Government approval for Hypnotherapy training. If you don't believe me, write to your local Member of Parliament, care of The House of Commons. London SW1 and ask him or her if what I say is true!

Hi Judy, i first trained as a hypnotherapist with the LCCH my course qualified me here in the UK as a clinical hypnotherapist, we did a lot of work on the behavioural therapies and things like secondary gains etc, it was an excellent course but When I read Roberts material it covers more or less everything I was taught and as comprehensively too, I can't fault it.

PS i am not claiming official government backing as a clinical hypnotherapist, as Robert says we have not passed legislation in this country yet to cover that but it's what we all want.

I am shortly going to close this topic to save space on the forum. Gina downloaded the Introduction Lesson with full details of the course and from the replies given above, she must see the course is great value. But, after one month, she has not enrolled so perhaps like so many people on the Internet, she doesn't believe the obvious. i.e.. She will get no more value from courses costing thousands more than she gets from mine. I feel so sad at times when this happens as I try to genuinely help as many aspiring 'therapists' as possible to get on the first rung of the ladder to becoming fully satisfied with their lives, and more and more people are 'spitting in my eye' and suggesting I am a con merchant. However, having said that, I am not surprised as the con merchants are multiplying in droves on the Internet and it is becoming a mine field for genuine people like myself. I could write a book on the crap that has been thrown at me lately and on how so many 'thieves are stealing my material (a Dr(?) Dovelos (operates mainly in Greece), for example, who blatantly claims copyright to my course material and sells diplomas etc.).

Does anyone know if this course also is valid for the use in USA in the state of North Carolina? Is the certificate recognized in the USA to practice hypnosis?I see a lot of people taken this course are in the UK.Thank You

The simple answer to Sydney's question is that if membership of the American Board of Hypnotherapy qualifies you to practice, then it is acceptable. BUT, and it is a big BUT, check with your local authority before committing yourself to my course as I don't con or cheat, and would rather not have a student who is wasting his or her time studying what I have to offer.

Hi Robert, I enrolled in the course, and I love it! I have about 8 more weeks until I take the test but Iam impressed with all the material and lessons with scripts you have in your course, I look forward in taking the test and receiving my Diploma. Thank You again Robert for helping us aspiring Hypnotherapists. I registered with another email (email address deleted as web spiders may pick it up and you will get bombarded with spam).

Thank you for your posting Gina - much appreciated. As you will see, I have removed your previous email address from the posting contents as spiders are always crawling the Internet looking for email addresses to add to spam lists (you may possibly still use it). They cannot find an email address in a posting that is put there as a reply address (the little yellow box above the posting), but they can find anything 'written' in a posting.
